Sometimes personal circumstances such as finances or previous educational experiences get in the way of otherwise talented students' success in college. That's where the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) at Mercer University can help.
Established in 1972 by the U.S. Department of Education, Mercer's Educational Opportunity Center has been in existence since 1988 and serves more than 2,000 students a year in Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Dodge, Dooly, Hancock, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam and Twiggs counties.
The Educational Opportunity Center is a free program and services are available to:
- Adults and high school students who would like to further their education beyond high school diploma or GED
- Adults and youth who have never completed high school and want to receive a GED
- Adults who want to move out of a dead-end job
- College students who need academic assistance and/or tutoring
Whatever your goal, you'll find support at EOC!
